This is a bit confusing. I’ve never seen a SMS address as an email before. Most SMS addresses are all phone numbers. I tried to SMS to the address, but it didn’t work. I’m sure this works, but you might want to better explain this on the help section. Thanks!

I second that. Would like to transact by e-mail, using e-mail addresses as recipient. Tried sending confirmation of cell phone via MMS, but no worky.

I have tried to authorize my phone to start using the SMS feature but it doesn’t seem to be working. I get a response so I know it went through (The code ‘XXXX’ does not match our database). I would love to start using this.

I tried sending an email to the address from my registered email address but it didn’t accept the transaction. Unfortunately there isn’t enough digits on the phone setting fields to input my UK mobile phone number. Something that I saw on a competitors website that I quite liked was the ability to IM your transactions via MSN etc…

I’d really like it if you were to accept emails from my Canadian cell phone (with Rogers). When I try to authorize it, I get an email back from you saying I am not authorized to perform this action

Thanks for all the feedback!
In response to all your suggestions, we just rolled out a new feature which does away with the phone-verification thing. You can now report transactions by sending them to a secret email address. Find out your secret email address by logging on to Buxfer and then use any device from anywhere to report transactions in real-time. Learn more
Cheers,
Buxfer Team

Also, take a look at our recent Twitter integration. If you are in the US or Canada, you no longer need to send an SMS to an email address - you could use the Twitter short codes. Non-US/Non-Canada users can also receive alerts on their mobile devices, although they cannot use short-codes for reporting.
Read more about it here.
