Support for international characters

July 30th, 2007 by Shashank

Just a quick update that we have finally enabled true UTF-8 encoding support on the site. No more stupid ‘?’ and diamond characters anywhere. With so many international users, we really should have got this going sooner. Oh well, better late than never!

Feel free to drop us a line if you encounter any problems.

Oh, and stay tuned for a major feature release tomorrow :)

Due to some hiccups, you’d have to wait for a couple more days. Sorry for the suspense, but we can’t help it :)

Oh I’m sure Ashwin’s enjoying holding this over our head right now *grins*

    Thanks for the update.

Hey, thanks a lot!!! I was actually getting a bit used already with typing stuff without the accents (in Portuguese - I’m from Brazil), but that’s great news now! =)
