Multiple currencies and multiple languages … we are going global!
June 14th, 2008 by ShashankWe have introduced two new features catering to the needs of our fast growing international userbase:
- Multiple currency support: Each financial account can be associated with a different currency. If you have an account back in your home country, or if you travel a lot within different countries, this is just what you have been waiting for! :)
- Foreign language support: Buxfer is available in 20 languages – English, Arabic, Hindi, Spanish, Chinese, and many more. Login to your account and help us translate the site into your language.
With the iPhone due for a worldwide launch, we have localized even our iPhone app. Check it out at http://i.buxfer.com
A while back, we had released support for international financial institutions with our Firefox extension. Now, with support for multiple currencies and local languages, Buxfer is the complete solution for your financial needs … anywhere in the world!

did this update mess up anyone else’s accounts? it made my checking account have a negative balance, while my credit card has a positive balance! My net balance “dropped” $2500 since yesterday… help!

Great news! I’ve joined Buxfer weeks ago and my first request was multiple currencies support. However, there’s still a situation that I’d like Buxfer to support.
I have two accounts, one in currency A and the other in currency B. When I register a transfer from A to B, I’d like to indicate the conversion rate involved in the transfer.
Right now, if I register a transfer between the accounts there’s no conversion being made.
Thanks for this great web app! Keep up the wonderful work!

This lures me back to using Buxfer… still, the conversion rate is still necessary… with this and few more reporting options it will grow even more!

Excellent! Totally agree that a conversion when transferring between accounts of different currencies is needed, but it’s a fantastic start to be able to have accounts in different currencies and have them all add up correctly on the summary page. Thanks!

Thank you very much for this wonderful feature. We have now started to use buxfer for our business also!
The only thing that is missing is the conversion rate, I am sure which you will add up shortly.
Thank you again,
Vineet
