Sync with ANZ bank, account groups, hiding inactive accounts and multiple currencies

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

Folks,

The blog has been quiet for a while, but that’s only because we have been working hard to release new features, fix issues and make the site work better for all of you. Over the last three months, we have addressed the following issues:

  • We have added support for automatic synchronization with ANZ New Zealand, First Premier Credit Cards, Orchard Credit Card. We have also fixed several sync issues with CapitalOne, TD BankNorth, USECU, and more.
  • You can group accounts into categories (checking, saving, credit card) and see a sub-total for each type. Simply click on an account and edit it’s type
  • We have provided a very sophisticated interface for navigating long lists of transactions. You can click on a page number of jump to any particular page you wish by entering a page number. No more clicking on tiny arrows :)
  • We have expanded user profile information for providing better targeted services. E.g., based on your zipcode/location information, we are able to provide more accurate automatic categorization
  • You can delete accounts which have been closed or are no longer in use without deleting the transactions within that account. Just delete the account as you normally would, and you will get a prompt asking you whether you want to delete the transactions within that account as well
  • Easier editing of budgets: you can choose whether your edits should apply to the current month only, or all previous months
  • Easier deletion of automatic rules: you can choose whether the rule should be deleted from past transactions it was applied to or not
  • For those using accounts with multiple currencies, currency conversion rate is automatically pulled from online sources. However, this rate is used only when the account is created. Once created, the rate stays static unless you change it manually

We are busy working on the next round of updates. Stay tuned!
