Bill reminders (improved)
Thursday, December 13th, 2007Our interface for scheduling reminders (or repeating transactions) was a bit clunky. So we spent a couple of days redesigning it and making it easier to use. Here’s how you can use it:
- Add reminders which repeat per day, week, month or year. E.g., ‘pay CC bill’ on 15th of each month, ’salary’ once every 2 weeks, etc.
- Associate reminders with transactions, so that transactions repeat automatically when the reminder is due. Just click on ‘Actions’ menu for the transaction in the History view, and click on ‘Repeat transaction’
- Schedule multiple reminders for a single transaction. So you can have transactions which repeat on the 1st and 15th of a month, or repeat monthly as well as weekly. Whichever combinations you like!
- See reminders listed in a calendar fashion, so you know exactly what’s going to happen when
Hope you’ll find the changes useful! The old reminders were migrated to the new system, and so they might behave erratically for a couple of weeks. Do let us know if you spot anything strange happening to your reminders.
